The 5FAB
What is a 5-Fold Armor-Bearer? Well, it's a person that "serves" and "protects" 5-Fold ministers (Apostles, Prophets, Evangelists, Pastors, and Teachers). Many ministers are unfamiliar with the armor-bearer role, or have chosen to neglect it as an ancient practice. The notable armor-bearer of ancient times was David, who began as Saul's armor-bearer, and later became King of Israel. The reason "5-Fold" was incorporated was to specify the role better. Many of the books that have been written on this topic (armor-bearer) imply that anyone qualify to be an armor-bearer - though encouraging, I believe different. To me that's like saying just because you are a police officer you qualify to be a SWAT member - NOT. According to David's qualifications, which positioned him to serve Saul, it took a person that new how to "serve" but also new how to "protect." Many ministries to date, tend to use people to serve and others to protect but according to David's description, it was a merging of the two skills.
